Easy to follow. No jargon. One area that does not appear to be controlled by the 'Colour and Metrics' settings screen, or the High Contrast Black theme, is the text that is used for the file names in the 'System' folders. This is a darkish blue against the black background, that does not offer much in the way of contrast.
In addition to this, I have an even more important need, to access the files and folders on a Vista drive, that I have transferred the permissions on, and once I get into the 'Users' folder, the file names and folders are all in exactly the same font colour, making this almost impossible for me to read, because of that lack of contrast.
The High Contrast Black theme should take care of this, but at the very least there has to be a way of customizing these fonts. I really hope there's a solution to this, as Microsoft have a duty to make all areas in their OS accessible. Please tell me how to change this font colour. Many thanks Simon Simon.
