Hammer head tools
The result of the prototype program was a highly successful new spacecraft design. Aegis had built a fast warship nimble enough to properly support a battle group while remaining inexpensive enough to be constructed in large numbers. After six months of space trials proved uneventful, an additional five Flight I hulls were approved and allocated to the Fifth Fleet to serve as a proof-of-concept for newly developed carrier warfare doctrine.
The Navy was pleased with the Hammerhead's proven combat capability and its new role in fleet operations, UEE doubled their initial hull order with Aegis and six months later signed an additional expansion that requested permanent production. As the new government sought to distance themselves from Aegis' warships in an attempt to rebrand their military and sought contracts from other manufacturers like RSI and the new Anvil Aerospace.
Luckily for Aegis, the military had not negotiated an exclusive license on the Hammerhead design, which allowed them to adapt the spacecraft for civilian use in a variety of roles without governmental oversight in an attempt to remain solvent. As a result of the incident, the Navy requested Aegis to implement major sensor changes in the Flight II models.
In , the Flight II models were released, in which replaced a radar emplacement with an additional turret and redesigned the internal deck layout in response to readiness reports from gun crews operating in the field. Compared to the Flight III models, it has multiple additional remote turrets and tools for increased modularity. Updated : May 6, 8 months ago - Alpha 3.

The Sheffield Hammer Multi Tool has an interesting design that combines a hammer and pliers into a single tool. The hammer head and nail puller are actually on either side of the pliers.
It gives you 14 different tools, including:. The Sheffield uses a hybrid design style. Instead of a butterfly fold one handle of the pliers swings out from the main body. The other tools all open up swiss army style from within. The body is made from stainless steel with attractive wood handles. You can lock the pliers closed with a swinging latch when you need to use the hammer.
We found it to be a useful size and weight and fully capable of hammering in small to medium nails. The Survival Multi Tool Hammer from Off Grid Tools combines the features of a hammer and a hatchet plus a whole bunch of other useful features. They claim it fulfills 31 different roles, including:. The Survival Hammer uses a full tang design that incorporates the hammer, hatchet, and all other major tools in a single piece of machined steel.
It has a textured plastic grip to give you firm purchase while using it. The hammer itself is an interesting shape but is well suited for light to medium pounding and hammering.
The nail puller is effective and the various hex wrenches are well sized. We really liked that Off Grid Tools included both a hatchet and a hammer in a single tool. These are two extremely useful tools to have in any serious situation.
The fold out saw is another really nice touch. It can be removed quickly when worn out and gives you the ability to quickly power through branches or boards. It combines several of the most commonly needed household tools into a single multi tool. It gives you more than 10 different tools, including:. The Hunny Doo is built for basic repair and maintenance tasks. It gives you a little bit of everything and fulfills a lot of different roles.
The hammer itself lacks a nail puller but does a great job at driving nails and other hammering tasks. This lets you apply more torque than possible with the pliers at the other end. We really liked that they included a bit driver instead of standard screwdrivers. The only complaint we had about this placement was the presence of the hammer. It gives it a really wide profile that catches on any obstruction. Both the main knife and the saw came sharp and did a good job cutting through different materials.
It gives you more than 12 different tools to work with, including:. The hammer itself has a classic rounded shape and is located on one side of the plier assembly.
On the other side is the small axe blade. The pliers are kind of odd looking to be honest. They have a completely flat geometry at the top before curving down into a regular pair. You can lock them closed when not in use and open the other tools up. Product Specifications Weight 32oz. Length 15 in. Get Connected. Email Address Field 'Email Address' is required.
